South by Southwest (SXSW) 2027

South by Southwest is a seven-day multidisciplinary festival and conference in downtown Austin, Texas, where creativity, discovery, and impact from diverse creative industries come together. Participants combine Innovation, Film & TV, Music, and Comedy into a single program, featuring keynotes, screenings, performances, networking events, and the renowned SXSW Pitch startup competition.

Where creative industries merge

South by Southwest was founded in Austin and has grown into one of the world’s leading events at the intersection of technology, culture, and commerce. According to SVP of Programming Greg Rosenbaum, SXSW will once again bring the global community together in 2027 around education, film, music, technology, comedy, and culture for a week of discovery and collaboration. In addition to the main location in Austin, SXSW now also organizes an edition in London.

Four program lines under one roof

SXSW consists of four interconnected components. The Innovation Conference is the global stage where technology, culture, and commerce collide: trends are not only followed but also tested, with SXSW Pitch as the highlight for startups. The Film & TV Festival & Conference offers seven days of carefully curated screenings, conversations, parties, and networking opportunities. The Music Festival & Conference revolves around discovery and development, featuring hundreds of breakthrough artists alongside industry discussions on touring, genre, and music technology. The Comedy Festival, the shortest component at four days, brings together stand-up, improvisation, podcasts, sketches, and storytelling from established names and new talent.
