Ernst Sillem Hoeve, Den Dolder

Gaining control over care demand, staffing, and capacity. In this two-day masterclass, healthcare managers and advisors learn how to tackle capacity shortages and unpredictable staff turnover using calculation models and practical case studies, without compromising quality.

Theory as a starting point

Two professors in the fields of organizational development and healthcare logistics introduce the key principles of capacity planning. The relationship between capacity management and healthcare logistics is also discussed.

Practice from mental healthcare and the hospital

Participants will hear how an expertise center is implementing integrated capacity management within mental healthcare, and how a hospital built a robust system step-by-step from a small, informal network.

Focus on own case studies

Participants bring their own case study. Under the guidance of the instructors, this case is linked to the theory covered, so that everyone leaves with a concrete course of action.

Regional cooperation and data

The role of data and dashboards is also discussed, as well as a regional network of healthcare institutions working together to improve patient flow.
