GITEX AFRICA is the largest technology and startup event on the African continent, organized by Dubai World Trade Centre. The fourth edition in Marrakech brings together more than 55,000 technology professionals, 1,800 exhibitors, and startups from over 130 countries under the theme Catalysing Africa’s Digital Economy in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.
Africa’s digital economy at a crossroads
GITEX Africa is the African branch of the global GITEX series, established by the Dubai World Trade Centre as a platform for technology, innovation, and the digital economy. After editions in 2023, 2024, and 2025, the event returns in 2026 for its fourth edition in Marrakech. Morocco officially opened the event through Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, who addressed foreign investors about Africa’s youth, energy, and ambition. The country rose 14 places on the global AI readiness index for governments in 2025.
Technology broadly covered
The program covers a broad spectrum of technology sectors: Cloud, IoT, AI, Data Centers, Cybersecurity, Telecom and Network Infrastructure, Smart Cities, Banking and Finance, HealthTech, EdTech via the FLEX program, Sustainability, Mobility, AgriTech, and ConsumerTech. In addition to keynotes, panel discussions, and product launches, there are targeted investor matchmaking sessions and the YouthX program, specifically aimed at students, educational institutions, and young startups.

GITEX Africa is a true pan-continental meeting place for tech entrepreneurs looking to enter Africa as a market, government officials, investors, innovators, and policymakers. The 2026 edition attracted more than 1,450 exhibitors and startups from 145 countries.
