De Kroonlezing is an evening about the importance of healthy, shady trees in Delft, during the Klimaatweek. Residents of the city bring the subject to life together with scientists, artists, policymakers and entrepreneurs. The city is warming up, and fast, so trees are becoming increasingly important.
Why trees matter
Cities are getting warmer and we feel that in our daily lives. Healthy trees provide shade and cooling, and make a city more pleasant to live in. The Kroonlezing shows why it is worth protecting them.
Many perspectives
The evening is the result of a collaboration between residents and people from science, art, policy and the business community. This means that knowledge, figures and policy choices are covered, as well as stories and experiences. It is a lecture that is also intended to make residents think about their own street.
Organised by residents
The Kroonlezing is organised by the Belangenvereniging Binnenstad Noord in Delft. You can register via the theatre’s website.
