Hét Dementiecongres 2026

  • wo 18 november 2026, 09:30 – 16:15
ReeHorst, Ede

Hét Dementiecongres provides healthcare professionals with practical tools for the care of people with dementia in just one day. You will learn to better understand misunderstood behaviour, communicate more effectively, and collaborate with loved ones. Featuring, among others, Erik Scherder on the brain in dementia and five accreditation points from V&VN, VSR, and NVvPO.

The person behind the dementia

Caring for people with dementia is becoming increasingly complex. This conference helps you to better interpret behaviour and make real contact. The day opens with music and an interactive lecture on how to go along with the experiential world of someone with dementia, resulting in greater job satisfaction.

Two workshop rounds of your choice

In two rounds, you choose your own area of focus. Topics include young-onset dementia, euthanasia in dementia, very severe problem behaviour, dementia and psychiatry, collaborating with informal caregivers, and eating and drinking as a source of enjoyment in life. The influence of the team on problem behaviour is also covered.

For whom and what it yields

The conference is intended for caregivers, nurses, dementia case managers, and practice nurses. Professor Erik Scherder concludes with a lecture on what happens in the brain and how you can improve the quality of life. Accreditation has been approved for five points at the Kwaliteitsregister V&VN, the Verpleegkundig Specialisten Register, and the NVvPO. Accreditation has been requested at Registerplein.
