The RSLM International Forum & Congress 2026 is the flagship event of the Romanian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, organized in collaboration with the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Over four days in Iasi, it brings together more than 300 participants and 20 international speakers for a forum, a scientific congress, and the first international IBLM certification exam ever organized in Romania.

A pioneer in Lifestyle Medicine at the European level

The Romanian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (RSLM) was founded in 2019 by Dr. Emanuela Mercore Hutanu as the first and only professional organization in Romania that is internationally affiliated and fully dedicated to Lifestyle Medicine. RSLM is affiliated with the Lifestyle Medicine Global Alliance, the European Lifestyle Medicine Council, and the World Lifestyle Medicine Organization, and works closely with the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine for certification and knowledge transfer. The organization connects physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals based on a shared ambition: a Romania without chronic non-communicable diseases.

Three parts, four days

The program consists of three separate components. The RSLM International Forum, a policy and strategic debate platform for executives from medicine, research, public health, technology, and the private sector. This is followed by the RSLM International Congress, a two-day scientific congress featuring keynotes and sessions by more than 20 international speakers on the latest developments in Lifestyle Medicine, prevention, chronic disease treatment, and evidence-based lifestyle interventions. Finally, in collaboration with the IBLM, the first international certification exam in Lifestyle Medicine ever organized in Romania will take place, and moreover, for the first time in the Romanian language. This exam is intended for healthcare professionals with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a medical or health-related field.

For whom?

Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, psychologists, researchers, policymakers, and other healthcare professionals who wish to delve into Lifestyle Medicine as an approach to chronic diseases, and professionals who wish to obtain the international IBLM certification.
