aiGrunn Conference 2026

aiGrunn is the annual AI conference of the north, with more than 1,000 professionals from technology, business, government, education and science. Eight thematic tracks, from tech and business to Sensible AI and healthcare, bring the AI community together. The conference is non-commercial and is organised by volunteers.

The AI ecosystem of the north

aiGrunn brings together developers, companies, researchers, educators and policymakers to share ideas and inspiration. In addition to the annual conference, there are thematic aiGrunn Cafés and many other activities. The community is open and non-commercial, and sponsors ensure that tickets remain as affordable as possible.

Eight tracks

The programme consists of eight tracks: Tech, Business, Government, Education, Sensible AI, Science and Research, Healthcare and Life Sciences and Hardware. This covers in-depth technical sessions, practical business cases, ethics and regulations, healthcare innovation and research.

Hackathon and aiLand

Two days before the conference, there is a hackathon in the Niemeyer-gebouw, with a stream to explore new AI technology and a stream with real-world issues from organisations. The winners present their results during the conference. During the conference, there is also aiLand, an AI amusement park on the Nieuwe Markt with demonstrations, activities, performances and music for the general public.
