AI Congress Barcelona 2026

The AI Congress Barcelona is the reference congress for artificial intelligence in Catalonia, organized by CIDAI and Eurecat, with the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The twelfth edition brings together technology professionals, companies, researchers, and innovators for three mornings of practice-oriented sessions on AI agents, data systems, multimodal models, vertical AI, and AI regulation. Participation is free.

Twelve years of AI knowledge from Catalonia

The AI Congress is organized by CIDAI, the Centre of Innovation for Data Tech and Artificial Intelligence, which implements the innovation pillar of the Catalan AI strategy, Catalonia.AI. Technology partner and co-organizer Eurecat is Catalonia’s largest private technology center. Together, they have been building this congress for over ten years as a meeting point for AI professionals, vendors, user companies, and startups. Past editions covered themes such as hybrid computing, edge AI, NPUs, and the growing role of AI in diverse sectors.

Five substantive themes for 2026

The 2026 program focuses on five current AI themes. From AI Models to AI Systems addresses agentic AI, multi-agent systems, and orchestration. Data and AI covers the transition from dataspaces to synthetic data. Vertical AI Models asks whether specialization or generalization is the future. Beyond Language Models explores the potential of multimodal models. And AI, Regulation, and Technological Sovereignty focuses on building auditable, transparent AI architectures in light of the EU AI Act. Sessions are held in the speaker’s native language, with simultaneous translation available in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
