Open Source Summit Europe is the Linux Foundation’s leading vendor-neutral conference for open source developers, technologists, and community leaders. The 2026 edition in Prague brings professionals together for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and discussion on the latest open source technologies — with a strong focus on open source AI, agentic systems, embedded Linux, cloud native computing, and security. Multiple co-established events take place in parallel.

The central European platform for open source innovation

The Linux Foundation is the leading non-profit organization enabling mass innovation through open source. Open Source Summit Europe is the Linux Foundation’s annual European flagship event, bringing together open source developers, system architects, engineers, and community leaders for three days of lectures, workshops, and networking. Previous editions took place in Vienna, Bilbao, and Dublin.

Program and co-hosted events

The program includes keynote lectures by leading open source figures, technical sessions on the Linux kernel and infrastructure, cloud native computing (Kubernetes, Containers), observability, security (OpenSSF), embedded Linux, WebAssembly, and open source AI frameworks. Several co-established conferences take place parallel to the main event, including Embedded Linux Conference Europe and AI_dev Summit Europe. Fixed social program items are the All-Attendee Reception, Tux Trek, Women and Non-Binary in Open Source Lunch, and Speed Networking.

Who is Open Source Summit Europe 2026 for?

The event targets software developers, system architects, DevOps engineers, security professionals, students, and community leaders active in the open source world. Scholarships and travel support are available through the Linux Foundation Registration Scholarship Program.
