The Rotary European Action Summit 2026 is a multi-day European meeting for Rotarians, Rotaractors, partners, and anyone who wants to contribute to projects with lasting social impact. Under the theme “TO BELONG – The Power of Connection and Action,” the three-day summit in Rotterdam brings together inspiring speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities focused on literacy, mental health, and the environment. The event is open to both Rotary members and non-members.
European Platform for Connection and Social Action
Rotary International is a global organization of more than 1.4 million volunteers in over 200 countries, united in over 46,000 Rotary clubs. The Rotary European Action Summit is a major European networking and inspirational event that brings together Rotarians, Rotaractors, and community partners from across the continent. The 2026 edition will be held in Rotterdam for the first time and will focus on countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and Portugal. The event is chaired by Rotary International Director Harriette Verwey (convenor) and Rotary International Director Massimo Ballotta (co-convenor).
Program
The GELS/GNLS/PLS training will take place from September 8th to 10th—a preparation program for future governors and their partners, supplemented by an optional learning seminar for partners. On the morning of Saturday, September 11th, there will be three parallel seminars on the Rotary Foundation, Rotaract, and membership recruitment. The three-day summit itself will then begin (September 11th–13th) with keynote addresses by inspiring speakers and interactive breakout sessions focusing on the three core areas of action: Literacy, Mental Health, and Environment. The social program will be provided by Inside Rotterdam.
Who is the Rotary European Action Summit for?
The event is explicitly open to both Rotary members (Rotarians, Rotaractors) and non-members who want to contribute to projects with lasting impact. Space is limited; early registration is recommended.
