During the Immersive Experience Day for cultural organizations with a collection, you will have the opportunity to experience the work of makers, gain insight into their process, and discover what this technology can mean for your audience and programming.
What can you expect?
You literally step into the world of immersive: makers present their work and you experience it as a visitor. No reading about the technology, no listening to someone else, but experiencing it yourself. This way, you get not only a picture of the technology, but also of what it triggers and what it can evoke in an audience.
Many cultural organizations are curious about immersive technology but do not quite know where to start. The afternoon combines experiencing immersive technology firsthand with a substantive program. A maker will take you through their work and process. An external speaker will zoom in on broader developments in the field: what works, what is required, and where do the opportunities lie for the cultural sector?
Afterwards, you will engage in a discussion with colleagues from the cultural sector about various topics: how can I get started? What do I need? What does it cost and what are some useful tips?
