Designers, architects, brands, galleries, and design enthusiasts come together during GLUE Amsterdam—the annual design route through the city. More than 150 participants open their doors for exhibitions, talks, and installations, spread across unique locations throughout Amsterdam.

GLUE Amsterdam – Connected by Design is a multi-day design route through Amsterdam where designers, brands, showrooms, galleries, academies, and architects open their doors to the public and their peers. Each participating venue organizes something unique: from exhibitions and installations to talks and tours. This creates a living portrait of the Amsterdam design world.

A community for and by designers

GLUE connects Amsterdam’s design scene year-round—not just during the three days in September. Emerging designers, knowledge institutions, renowned designers, and major agencies will be featured side by side on the city map. Venues with four or more participants will be designated as GLUE HUBs, offering visitors additional programming and in-depth information. A printed city map will help visitors find all the addresses.

Knowledge partners and cultural organisations

GLUE collaborates with cultural and educational partners such as the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Pakhuis de Zwijger, and Waag Futurelab. The route gives a face to Amsterdam’s design and raises the sector’s profile to a wider audience. For professionals in the cultural sector, visual arts, applied arts, and architecture, GLUE is a place to meet peers and gain new perspectives.
