Rotterdam Ahoy, Rotterdam

The FERMA Forum is the leading biennial European conference and networking event for risk management and insurance professionals, organized by the Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA). The three-day event in Rotterdam Ahoy brings together risk managers, insurers, brokers, and industry leaders from across Europe for high-level discussions, inspiring speakers, workshops, and extensive networking opportunities.

The European home of risk management and insurance professionals

The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) represents 23 risk management associations in 22 European countries, with more than 6,000 active risk managers from large industrial and commercial enterprises, financial institutions, and government agencies. The biennial FERMA Forum is the central European platform for knowledge exchange, policy development, and networking in the risk management and insurance sectors. Previous editions have taken place in Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels, Maastricht, Stockholm, and—most recently in 2024—Madrid, where FERMA’s 50th anniversary was celebrated.

Program and themes

The forum offers a mix of plenary sessions with thought leaders and top experts, thematic breakout sessions, workshops, and extensive networking opportunities. Recurring themes include sustainability and ESG risks, digitalization and cybersecurity, risk transfer and insurance, systemic risks, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). The forum also features innovative exhibitors and service providers from the risk management and insurance sectors. The full program for the 2026 edition will be published later.

Who is the FERMA Forum for?

The event is aimed at risk managers, risk officers, insurance managers, CFOs, compliance and governance professionals, insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and service providers in the risk and insurance sector. Registration for risk managers is traditionally free; fees may apply for other participants.
