DrupalCon Europe is the annual European conference of the global Drupal open-source community, organized by the Drupal Association. The four-day event in Rotterdam brings together developers, site builders, UX designers, policymakers, agency leaders, and content specialists for sessions, workshops, keynotes, and community activities focused on Drupal CMS, AI, digital sovereignty, accessibility, and open-source collaboration. The 2026 edition succeeds DrupalCon Vienna 2025.
The European home of the Drupal open source community
Drupal is one of the most widely used open-source content management systems in the world, powering a significant portion of the global web landscape, from government and university websites to major media platforms and e-commerce environments. DrupalCon is the Drupal Association’s annual international flagship event, bringing together the global Drupal community for knowledge sharing, code contributions, and community building. The European edition rotates annually among European cities; Rotterdam will host the event for the first time in 2026.
Program and session tracks
The program is structured around seven content tracks: Drupal CMS (for site builders and contributors), Development, AI & Agentic Architecture (for front-end and back-end developers), Digital Sovereignty & Open Web (for policymakers and open-source advocates), Agency, Business & Marketing (for agency leaders and project managers), User Experience, Accessibility & Design, Community Health (diversity, inclusion, and mental well-being in open-source communities), and Success Stories & Innovation (case studies). In addition to the regular sessions, there are Summits—in-depth half- or full-day gatherings for specific subcommunities—Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions, and keynote lectures. The 2026 International Splash Awards, the international prizes for the best Drupal websites and projects, will also be presented.
Who is DrupalCon Europe 2026 for?
DrupalCon is open to anyone who works with Drupal professionally or as a volunteer, or who is interested in open-source web technology: from junior developers and students to experienced architects, from content editors to agency owners and government webmasters. Registration is open to professionals, students, and community members of all levels.
