Design District Rotterdam 2026

Design District is the annual trade event for interior design in the Netherlands, held at the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam. More than 150 interior and exterior brands present their latest collections to interior architects, designers, project furnishers, stylists, and retailers. Students and private individuals are also welcome on Friday.

Design District is the annual trade event for the interior design industry in the Netherlands. For three days, the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam is the hub for professionals seeking the latest developments in interior design. On the exhibition floor, more than 150 interior and exterior brands present their latest products: from furniture and lighting to bathroom fixtures, tiles, flooring, fabrics, and other materials. Besides established international brands, there’s also space for exhibitions by design academies and emerging designers.

Who is Design District for?

The event is aimed at interior architects, designers, project furnishers, stylists, and retailers. Wednesday, May 27th, and Thursday, May 28th, are exclusively open to trade visitors. On Friday, May 29th, students (with a supervisor, max. 50 per program) and private individuals are also welcome. The organizers emphasize visitor quality over numbers: the stands have been deliberately kept compact, so a one-day visit is sufficient to fully explore the interior design scene.
