Design experience on a human scale in Antwerp
Antwerp Design Week is an annual city-wide design event in Antwerp, Belgium, where brands open their showrooms, studios, and headquarters to registered visitors. The event originated as an initiative of Belgian design brands and has grown into a platform for more than 85 brands in over 35 locations across the city. In 2025, the event welcomed over 7,000 visitors from Belgium and abroad.
Open doors instead of exhibition halls
Antwerp Design Week distinguishes itself from traditional trade fairs by emphasizing personal contact within brands’ own local communities. Visitors discover design in showrooms, production facilities, and creative hubs—spread across a 25-kilometer radius. The program includes more than 50 events, three guided Design Walks, three information points throughout the city, and a free mobile app with a comprehensive route planner. Shuttle buses along Antwerp’s quay connect the various locations.
For professionals, retailers and design enthusiasts
Antwerp Design Week focuses on four types of visitors: architects and project professionals, retailers and interior designers, design enthusiasts, and the press. Each profile has its own dedicated website and a personalized program. Access to all locations is free after pre-registration with a personal QR code. The organizers recommend a two- to three-day visit to fully explore the offerings.
