64th ERA Congress 2027 Rotterdam

The 64th Congress of the European Renal Association (ERA) is the leading annual European scientific congress for nephrologists, dialysis and transplant professionals, and kidney scientists. This hybrid, four-day event in Rotterdam Ahoy brings together thousands of healthcare professionals and researchers from around the world for lectures, abstract presentations, workshops, and CME sessions on renal medicine, renal replacement therapy, transplantation, and kidney health.

The European Scientific Congress of Kidney Medicine

The European Renal Association (ERA) is the leading European professional association for nephrologists and renal medicine professionals, with members in over 100 countries. The ERA Congress is the association’s annual international flagship event and the most authoritative European platform for scientific exchange, professional development, and the development of new research in kidney disease and renal replacement therapy. Previous editions have taken place in Berlin, Milan, Paris, Prague, Glasgow, and Amsterdam; the 64th edition returns to Rotterdam—the location it previously hosted in 2012. The Congress will take place in a hybrid format: live in Rotterdam and via a virtual platform.

Program and themes

The scientific program features keynote lectures by international experts, abstract presentations (oral and poster), thematic sessions, and accredited CME courses across the full spectrum of renal medicine. Recurring topics include chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its complications, renal replacement therapy (dialysis and transplantation), kidney disease in special patient groups, innovative diagnostics and treatment, and the role of the ERA registry in European epidemiology. In addition to the scientific sessions, there will be an extensive industry exhibition and sponsorship sessions.

Who is the ERA Congress for?

The conference is aimed at nephrologists, internists, transplant surgeons, dialysis professionals, nurse practitioners, researchers, and all other healthcare professionals working in renal medicine. There are specific program components for young nephrologists through the Young Nephrologists’ Platform (YNP). Participation is open to ERA members and non-members.
