43rd ESRA Annual Congress 2026

The annual congress of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA) is one of the most influential international platforms for clinicians, researchers, and scientists active in regional anesthesia, perioperative care, ultrasound-guided techniques (PoCUS), and pain management. Registration is open, and early bird rates apply through July 1, 2026. The congress also includes examinations for the ESRA diplomas EDRA and EDPM.

The European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA) is the European scientific association for professionals in regional anesthesia and pain treatment, with more than 8,500 members worldwide. The annual ESRA Congress is internationally recognized as one of the most authoritative platforms in the field, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The 43rd edition takes place in Lisbon.

Program

The scientific program includes lectures and sessions on regional anesthesia, perioperative care, Point-of-Care Ultrasound (PoCUS), acute postoperative pain management, and chronic pain treatment, delivered by more than 100 international experts and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). New in 2026 is an Innovation Village, a meeting place for ESRA, industry partners, and participants focused on healthcare innovation. Parallel to the congress, written and oral examinations for the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia & Acute Pain Management (EDRA) and the European Diploma in Pain Medicine (EDPM) will take place.
